How to apply

1. Select your course and study options
Once you've chosen from our range of online degrees, decide:
when you’d like to start (you can start on the first Monday of any month)
whether you want to study full or part-time.
For UK students, the total fees for our online courses will be the same – whether you choose to study full or part-time – and we offer several funding options to make learning more affordable and accessible. Find out more in our guide to tuition fees and funding.

2. Check you meet the eligibility requirements
Admission criteria vary depending on the course you select.

We strive to support students to succeed, whatever their background, and we encourage you to contact us to explore your options if you don’t meet the academic requirements.

Applying for a student loan? Apply now to avoid delays
If you’re planning to fund your degree with a student loan, we recommend applying for your loan at the same time as your Walbrook degree application.
Why? It can take up to 6 to 8 weeks for your loan to be approved and funding to be processed. We can’t officially enrol you or allow you to start your course until your loan has been approved and verified by the Student Loans Company (SLC).
Starting both applications together can help make sure your funding is in place before your course begins. Have questions about UK student loans? See our guide to UK Student Finance.
Thinking about applying for a Scholarship?
Our £1,200 Scholarship can help reduce your tuition fees and make studying more affordable.
Once you've applied to study with us, you can download and submit your Walbrook Scholarship application form online. There are a limited number of scholarships available each month, so we encourage you to apply early to increase your chances of acceptance.
Want to find out if you're eligible? Find out more about the Walbrook Scholarship.
Once your application has been reviewed, you’ll receive a conditional offer to study with us by email.
This offer is "conditional" because you still need to complete a few steps before your place is confirmed.
This offer is valid as long as you meet all eligibility requirements.
The admissions process: securing your place
The admissions process includes submitting documents, arranging funding, and confirming your place. There are different processes depending on how you're funding your studies.

4. Upload your documents
To kick start the admissions process, you'll need to upload proof of your eligibility to study your chosen course. The documents you'll be asked to upload will vary depending on your:
level of study (undergraduate, foundation year or postgraduate)
previous academic experience
previous work experience
Take a look at the documents we may ask for:

Studying a postgraduate or MBA degree?
At this stage, all postgraduate students will be invited to a mandatory welcome call as part of the enrolment process. It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions and get advice as you prepare to start your degree.
If you're an undergraduate student, you can also request a welcome call at any time if you'd like personalised support during the admissions process.
Once your documents and eligibility have been reviewed and confirmed, you’ll receive an unconditional offer to study with us by email.
You’ll then move on to the next step in the admissions process – confirming your undergraduate tuition fee loan, or making your pre-payment.

5. Upload proof of loan approval or make pre-payment
Depending on your funding method, you’ll need to take one of the following actions before we can officially enrol you:
Undergraduate students using a student loan: you need to upload proof of confirmation of your loan.
All other students: you will be asked to make a pre-payment upfront, based on one month’s tuition fees.
This step must be completed at least 7 days before your chosen start date – otherwise, your start will be deferred to the next available intake.
Still need to arrange your finances? See our guides to:
Undergraduate students using a tuition fee loan
Confirm your student loan approval
Once your tuition fee loan has been approved, upload proof of loan approval from the SLC.
Walbrook will verify your loan acceptance on the SLC portal.
Undergraduate students who are self-funding
Make your pre-payment
We require a pre-payment of your fees upfront. You cannot be enrolled until the pre-payment has been received.
You’ll receive an email with instructions to make your pre-payment. Follow the payment instructions provided to make your pre-payment and finalise your enrolment.
Postgraduate students (using a Master's Loan or self-funding)
Make your prepayment
We require a pre-payment of your fees upfront. You cannot be enrolled until the pre-payment has been received.
You’ll receive an email with instructions to make your pre-payment. Follow the payment instructions provided to make your pre-payment and finalise your enrolment.
If you've applied for a Master's Loan
You’ll receive your first loan instalment after you start your course. This means you’ll need to make your tuition fee pre-payment yourself before your course begins, as you won’t receive any loan funds until after your start date.
6. Officially enrol as a Walbrook student
Once we've received your pre-payment or confirmation of your undergraduate student loan, you’ll be officially enrolled.

You’ll get your login details to your online study platform on your start date. As soon as you have access, you can:
get to know your online study platform
book your first call with our support team
attend a virtual welcome event
start your first module.
Active participation in your studies
During the first few weeks after your start date, we’ll check to confirm your active participation. This process helps ensure you’re settling into your studies and making progress in your course. Active participation includes:
logging into your online study platform
registering for your first modules
accessing your course materials
engaging with your tutors or peers.
Important for students using a tuition fee loan:
Once we can confirm you're actively participating in your course, we’ll notify the Student Loans Company (SLC):
If you're an undergraduate student, your loan will be released directly to us.
If you're a postgraduate student, your loan will be released to you in instalments.
