Can I really start any month?
Absolutely. Traditional course start dates can often be a barrier to pursuing higher education. But life doesn't always follow a set schedule, and we understand that.
That's why we’ve changed the way you can begin your studies. By offering you the opportunity to start any month, we're empowering you to take control of your educational journey.
Will I study with other students?
We understand that being part of a community is important. No matter what month you choose to start your course, you'll join a cohort of students who are studying the same modules as you. This means you'll have the chance to engage and collaborate with other others who are at the same stage of their studies.

Whether you're ready to dive into a new journey in January, June or even December, we want to help you achieve your goals, whenever it feels right for you.
How monthly start dates work
Getting started on your academic journey with monthly start dates is easy:
1. Find your course
Browse through our wide range of online undergraduate degrees or online postgraduate courses in business, management, tech or AI to find the one that aligns with your interests and career goals.
2. Choose your start date
Once you've chosen your course, you can select your preferred monthly start date on our application form. Remember, you can choose to start in any month.
3. Complete our application and admissions process

4. Begin your studies
Once your start date arrives, you'll get full access to our innovative virtual learning environment, ready to start your studies.
Key deadlines to start on your chosen date
To begin your studies in your chosen start month, you'll need to confirm your undergraduate tuition fee loan, or make your pre-payment at least 7 days before your start date. If you're unable to do so, your start will be deferred to the next available intake.
Undergraduate students using tuition fee loans
If you're planning to apply for an undergraduate tuition fee loan through Student Finance England to fund your degree, it's important to allow at least 6-8 weeks for your application to be processed and for you to receive confirmation of your loan. This is important to remember when choosing your monthly start date, because we can’t officially enrol you or allow you to start your course until your loan has been approved and verified by the Student Loans Company (SLC).
You'll need to upload confirmation of your undergraduate tuition fee loan at least 7 days before your chosen start month – otherwise, your start will be deferred to the next available intake.
Postgraduate students and undergraduate students not using a tuition fee loan
If you’re self-funding an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or using a Master’s Loan, to cover tuition fees, you’ll need to make a pre-payment to officially accept your unconditional offer. Your pre-payment must be paid at least 7 days before your start date. If your pre-payment isn’t received on time, your start date will be deferred to the next available intake.
If you’re using a Master’s loan to fund your postgraduate degree, it will be paid directly to you in three instalments, with the first payment arriving only after you've started your studies. Since the pre-payment must be made at least 7 days before your chosen start date, you will need to cover this amount separately before your loan funds are available.
