Rather than being a standalone programme, The Foundation Year at LIBF is designed to seamlessly integrate into a comprehensive four-year bachelor's degree programme.

This ensures you gain all the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in your chosen field, providing a strong foundation for your academic and professional success.

As a UK higher education provider, we are officially listed in the UK’s Office for Students (OfS) Register and comply with all OfS Conditions of Registration. We are also a member of The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA).

We have been awarding undergraduate and postgraduate degrees since 2010 and, while we now offer 100% online degrees to support accessible, flexible learning for all students, we also have a campus in the heart of London.

The total fee for a BSc with Foundation Year is £26,565.00.

If you're a UK student, you can apply for a student loan to cover your tuition fees. If eligible, you’ll need to provide confirmation of your loan approval before we can enrol you on your course. We recommend submitting your loan application at least 6-8 weeks before your chosen start date to avoid delays. 

If you're self-funding, you’ll need to make a pre-payment based on one month’s tuition before we can enrol you on your course. Your pre-payment amount will be at least £500, and no more than £900. This amount is part of your total tuition fee, not an additional cost. 

Yes, we offer the Walbrook Scholarship, providing a £1,200 reduction in study fees for eligible students. There are a limited number of Walbrook Scholarships available each month so we encourage you to apply early to increase your chances of being awarded the scholarship.

To be eligible to apply for our Walbrook Scholarship you must:

• be self-funding your undergraduate degree (without a student loan).

• have a household net income of less than £3,500/month.

You can apply for a Walbrook Scholarship once you’ve applied for your course. Our Study Advisors will review your application and let you know if you’ve been approved for a scholarship.

If you're not granted the scholarship, you'll have the option to proceed with your application or to cancel your application with us without any charges.

If you’re a UK resident studying online with us, and you experience financial difficulty as an undergraduate student, you can apply for support from our Hardship Fund.

Hardship funds are made available to current undergraduate students twice in the academic year. You’ll be informed when the application period is open and allocation of funds will be agreed by the Scholarship, Bursaries and Prizes Committee.

UK-based students can apply for a tuition fee loan at undergraduate level. The tuition fee loan will cover your full fees and be paid directly to Walbrook.

Once you've applied for a tuition fee loan, the review process can take up to 6-8 weeks. We recommend giving yourself at least 6-8 weeks between submitting your student loan application and your chosen start date, allowing you to focus on your studies without any unnecessary delays. We can’t officially enrol you or allow you to start your course until your loan has been approved and verified by the Student Loans Company (SLC).

All you need is a reasonably up-to-date computer – desktop or laptop – with a stable internet connection and a webcam. 

Other internet-capable devices, such as tablets or smartphones, will also be useful.
